I am happy to note that membership of the club has increased four-fold , which speaks volumes for this organization. My best wishes to the association and I hope that it grows in the years to come and ensures the training of fresh manpower to meet the future growth of the hospitality industry.

I am still livid with excellent memories of the Ist ever National Convention of IHC held in July 2007.The entire event was spelling IHC in terms of INTEGRITY + HOSPITALITY +CONSCIENTIOUSNESS.
I congratulate Mr . G.K.Shrivatava and his able team for the wonderful work that you all are doing to promote The Housekeepers World, which was always a neglected zone in our Hospitality Industry.

The First Souvenir of IHC shall further strengthen the belief that the Housekeeping Industry deserves an impregnable space in Hotels , Restaurant world :and the Government as well as all Hotel Associations in the country should come forward to develop this industry in terms of systems, management and improvisation's.

It is a matter of great pleasure to learn that Indian House Keeper's Club has launched a website.

House Keeping is a very vital department of Hospitality Industry that most of the people are not aware of. It is the back bone of not only the Hotels but the entire corporate world where properties and their up-keeping is involved. The first impression one derive about any office, hotel, restaurant or a business activity place is created by the House Keepers of that property. It is the only department which keeps working while the rest of the departments are retired for the day.

Your website will definitely bring forth the importance of this department and make the public aware of the same. Since skill and manpower both are involved in making this department strong, your website will help in bridging the communication gap between industry and Hotel Management Institutes as both are inter dependent.

I hope this site will also be helpful to the students by knowing the latest trends prevailing in Industry and it needs to enable them to prepare themselves in a better way.

The hospitality industry is witnessing an unprecedented Growth not only in india but all over the world, therefore, there is a need to train, untrain and retrain the staff all over the world to cater to the demands of global Economy in this “Global Village”.

The Housekeeping department is a very critical department in the industry but Unfortunately, it is not so sought after department for student. Probably because, we have Failed to project it in a right manner that House-Keeping is and can be a great career option Especially at the time of this Retail and Hospitality boom. House-Keeping is nothing but Facility Management in its simple from. So I see a bigger and greater role for IHC in the Times to come.
